Oil Dipstick "black specks"

Oil was recently changed.

Checked oil and noticed some little black specks on the dipstick. I wiped it, and checked the dipstick again and nothing. I wiped it, and checked the dipstick again and they were back. Very small black specks. Oil is clean.

Concern or normal?

How should i proceed?

Could be oil sludge loosing-up. I would change the oil filter, and maybe add some Marvel Mystery Oil to loosen the sludge further. Make sure you are changeing the oil every 3,000 with quality oil.

Oil has detergents that will clean the engine. This is the primary reason that oil turns black. It suspends the carbon that it cleans off. This is the main reason for regular oil changes. When the oil fills with carbon and can no longer hold anymore it begins to do the opposite and leaves deposits of sludge.

Check the coolant to see if there is cross-contamination. If that's not the case you'll just have to see what developes. You could put some Marvel in like shortlid said just to see if it would do anything. That stuff works but it's expensive.
