Ok... I officially feel like an idiot. :-) Just came home with a new '11 SE and I cannot figure out how to open the rear hatch with the fob. The manual is near useless. When I press and hold the hatch button on the fob the beeper sounds twice but nothing happens. If I press and hold the rear glass button the rear glass pops open.
At the dealer the door did the same thing and the sales dude said it was because he key wasn't in or was in or something. It wasn't a big priority (at the time) because I picked it up after work and was pressed for time.
Anyway, I know it's probably something stupid. Can anyone show me the secret handshake? :-)
Thanks.

Yes, power tailgate. Thank you! You are the MAN! That was it. I cannot believe the dealer didn't know about it. I'm sure it's buried in the manual somewhere but I didn't see it on the page which gave instructions for using the remote to open the rear hatch.
Crisis averted. :-)
