Stiffer shocks make load carrying safer ?

Is not much space twixt rear tires and wheel well. Auto is used as commuter for several (4) rather " portly " individuals. Very close to bottoming out on slight bumps. No problems with 2 passengers.Have newer struts yet pondering stiffer shocks. Exactly how much stiffer without annoying driver only ? Air adjust ?

Stiffer springs along with stiffer shocks and strut inserts will help a lot. But beware, most springs for the RWD 84-87 Corolla SR5 and RWD 85-87 Corolla GTS will also lower the car 1" or more.

On a side note, you've posted a lot of really weird posts with the "AE86" icon, are you really towing trailers and shuttling around 4 "portly" adults in a GTS or SR5 coupe or hatchback? If you are, I'd really suggest saving some money and getting a more comfortable and capable car or truck.
