Thanks for the link. Registered, logged on, will be browsing now and then to see if anything turns up. Only thing I'm afraid of is paying slight premiums because they are all into the classics...thus expect some sort higher prices.--- All good.

the pricing is a little bit higher but there are good deals to be had.



The only way to really walk away with an incredible deal is knock on the door of every old person with a garage and ask what they have in the garage. I've seen a fair amount of te3X corollas pop up on JNC that were sold for a few hundred but are in near perfect shape bought from a little older lady who used her corolla as a local runabout for 30+ years. That or stike gold with a barn find haha

Ya...I would love a great barn find! found a 900 buck truck in Vegas via Criagslist, but that's a 4 hour drive. lol...Patience.

But you're in SOCAL so you shouldn't have too much trouble. For me, to find any cars on there its usually a couple hour drve at least...

I'm sort of in the same boat. I would like to find an older datsun (pickup or sedan) or an older toyota (hilux or corolla). I cant find anything in between either rusted to hell or completely restored.

What prices are people asking for in your neck of the woods? I can't say I'm lucky until I have the pink slip in my hands but I am fortunate to find a few here... prices range from 1200 to 1600>> good or bad for running and maintained?

if like most california cars they have little rust, then I'd say thats great. The very few older japanese cars that pop up around here are usually around a similar price or like $300 for something really run down. The body is usually not in too bad of shape, but underneath they're just rusted to hell. I just looked at a toyota pickup two weeks ago that the owner lied about the condition of the frame, only for me to find out after almost a two hour drive. Massive rust hole in the frame on both sides >:|

Found this guys googling right now. I'm going to call up that guy come tomorrow (monday)...pics don't do it justice...doesn't look like a hilux (the lower body difference from the bed to the cab).
